Liquid-Matte Lip Color

Let’s talk about Liquid-Matte Lip Colors.

I love using liquid-matte lip colors for various reasons.

1. Easy application
2. Stays put
3. Matte

Today, I will be comparing 3 brands of Liquid-Matte Lip Color products.

Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor – Obession

1. Highly pigmented
2. Long-wear
3. Affordable

Left: Sephora Luster Matte Long-Wear Lip Color – Orchid Luster

Right: Sephora Collection Cream Lip Stain Crimson Crush & Polished Purple

I love Sephora lip products; it never ceases to amaze me.

1. Many colors to choose from
2. Highly pigmented & long-wear
3. Affordable

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream – Transylvania

This NYX product disappointed me. The product dried blotchy on my lips.

1. Uneven/blotchy
2. Many colors to choose from
3. Highly affordable

Tarte LipSurgence Collection 2013

Hey all,

So excited to be back! So couple days ago, I was at the mall with one of my gf’s and of course, we stumbled upon Sephora.
I had a Tarte mini lip gloss set before and I found the colors to be amazing.
So naturally, when I saw the collection, I want it. =)

And of course, I was not disappointed.

The Tarte 8pc LipSurgence Collection has:
Matte Lip Tint:
Destined, Cheerful, Glee, Generous
Lip Tint:
Lovely, Enamored, Believe, Grateful

Revlon & Maybelline

I finally bought myself a lovely shade of coral for my lips. Again, this is not really a haul, just some things that I wanted to try out. My current concealer isn’t that great (it’s the Cover Girl one). So, I decided to try Revlon. I have used Revlon products on a couple of photo-shoots before and the quality was not bad at all. And of course, I loveeeee DollyWink! It gives me great lengths on my eyelashes but sometimes, the volume that I want is not all there. So I purchased the Volum’Express Mascara.

P.s. As I was writing this post, I realized that the mascara I have bought is in “Glam Brown”. Stupid as I am, I will have to go and exchange it for the Black. =(

Mini Haul

I haven’t really bought anything (personal goodies) for a while, and so I decided to make a little purchase. I went to Shoppers Drug Mart and bought a couple of things.

I really like the Quo Primer (bought it many times before), so I bought it again. I wanted a nice light sunscreen for my face and so I decided to try the La Roche-Posay Face Sunscreen with 60 SPF. So far? the fluid sunscreen is not thick or hard to apply. It actually blends really nicely. (I figured, hey… I should start protecting my skin to prevent dark spots, aging, etc).

Then I headed over to Sephora because I wanted a BB Cream. I know I know, that there are tons of BB creams (in fact, there are CC creams now). I picked up the Diorskin Nude BB Creme in 002. I love it. I mean, I’ve used the Diorskin Airflash Spray Foundation before and it was lovely (I am a huge fan of Dior cosmetics). This BB creme is not thick or hard to apply. I find it really hydrating and light. It gives off this nice dewy finish.

And as you know Sephora lovers, you always get a free sample at the end of your purchase. They gave me a sample of the Boscia Detoxifying Black Cleanser. I know that the Boscia Black Mask works rather well, so I am going to see how great this cleanser is.

I can’t remember if I had mentioned that I have had complications to my skin (particularly on my face) a while back. Yes, it was eczema. My doctor told me it was because of the sudden weather change between China and Vancouver. (I had a vacation back in September 2011 for a month and I broke out with eczema a couple days after my arrival back in Vancouver). Anyways, it was all good because my doctor told me to think of it as a face-peel (haha, he is a pretty cool guy). So, my face is normal again (sentence sounds odd, I know) but once in a while when it’s a little more dry in the air, a bit of the eczema will happen (moisturize baby!).

The other day, I figured that I was perhaps ready for tinted moisturizer (less dry for my skin). So, I took a trip to Sephora and purchased this tinted moisturizer from the brand “Hourglass” and the product is called “Illusion Tinted Moisturizer”. It’s a couple of days since I have started using this product and so far, so good (knock on wood).

All in all, a little does go a long way, so half a pump will be enough for coverage. I mainly just use it on my T zone area (redness), around the mouth (darker) and a little under my eyes.

BTW, did I mention that this product does not contain:

–       Sulfates

–       Parabens

–       Synthetic Dyes

And more.

Feel free to click the following link if you want to know more about this product.

*  I am currently using Hourglass, Illusion Tinted Moisturizer Oil Free in Light Beige.

Prom Night

Hey =)

I had a post last year on November 28th, 2011 stating that I will be doing my cousin’s (and her friend’s) make-up and hair.

On the day of June 16th:

–       Met at her place at 8:40 am

–       Their make-up was complete at around 12:30 pm

–       Their hair was complete at around 1:45 pm

It was very exhausting but fun.

None the less, these are the results.

Sorry, I forgot my camera that morning; the quality is off.

Nevertheless, please still

I was just playing around with different colors and I came up with this design.

Which, by the way, inspired me for my next set of nail design.

Cheers =)
